11 Jul Transforming a Mall into a Multi-Sensory Holiday Playground
To celebrate the festive season in style, Plaza Singapura collaborated with the Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC) to present a Christmas activation that was bold, interactive, and immersive. The challenge? Transforming an everyday mall atrium into a whimsical “Pinkmas” wonderland that would attract families, drive foot traffic, and generate social media buzz.
That’s where Ark Media Productions came in — to bring imagination to life through full-service event experience solutions.
🛠️ Our Role in the Holiday Spectacle
1. Event Spatial Design & Fabrication
We conceptualised and built a custom-designed environment that balanced form, function, and fun.
Key features included:
A towering 12-metre pink igloo structure as the centrepiece
A MOIC-themed 2-metre snow globe photobooth
A playful sprinkle pool installation inspired by MOIC’s iconic exhibits
These elements were carefully fabricated off-site, assembled on-site, and designed for high visitor engagement and safety in a retail setting.
2. Audiovisual Integration
To heighten the festive mood and visual appeal, Ark provided sound, lighting, and LED installations to complete the immersive environment.
A synchronised weekend light show added dynamic energy and kept crowds returning after dark.
3. Logistics & Technical Production
Our team handled full event logistics, including vendor coordination, timeline control, and onsite support to ensure smooth operations throughout the activation. Despite tight mall hours and safety restrictions, the build and teardown were executed flawlessly.
🌟 Results & Impact
✅ Increased footfall & dwell time at the atrium
✅ Extensive user-generated content on Instagram & TikTok
✅ A memorable festive destination that blended brand storytelling with interactive fun
🧠 Key Takeaway
Ark Media Productions helped turn Plaza Singapura into a festive landmark — not just another Christmas display, but a branded experience that drew crowds, cameras, and content creators.
Our ability to integrate spatial design, event production, and AV technology ensured that every moment was not only functional but photogenic.
