Transforming a Mall into a Multi-Sensory Holiday Playground

Festive Season Activation | Plaza Singapura Atrium

The Challenge

Plaza Singapura teamed up with the Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC) to deliver a bold, interactive Christmas activation. The task? Transform the mall’s atrium into a whimsical “Pinkmas” wonderland that would draw families, boost foot traffic, and ignite social media buzz — all while fitting within a busy retail environment.

Ark’s Role in the Holiday Spectacle

1. Event Spatial Design & Fabrication

  • Conceptualised and built a custom-designed festive environment
  • Signature features:
    • 12-metre pink igloo centrepiece
    • MOIC-themed 2-metre snow globe photobooth
    • Playful sprinkle pool inspired by MOIC exhibits
  • Fabricated off-site, assembled on-site, designed for safety and engagement

2. Audiovisual Integration

  • Sound, lighting, and LED installations to enhance immersion
  • Synchronised weekend light shows to encourage repeat visits

3. Logistics & Technical Production

  • Full event logistics and vendor coordination
  • Timeline control and onsite technical support
  • Flawless build and teardown within mall operating restrictions

Results & Impact

  • Increased footfall & dwell time: More visitors and longer stays
  • High social media buzz: User-generated content on Instagram & TikTok
  • Memorable festive destination: Blended brand storytelling with interactive fun

Key Takeaway

Ark Media Productions transformed Plaza Singapura into a festive landmark — not just a Christmas display, but a branded experience that captured the hearts and cameras of visitors. By integrating spatial design, AV technology, and event production, we created moments that were both functional and irresistibly photogenic.
